Not to be confused with the Planters Pointe subdivision in northern Mount Pleasant, Rice Planters Pointe is a small community of around 20 homes in the southern part of Mt. Pleasant. It is situated off scenic Long Point Road right next to the Charles Pinkney National Historic Site and Snee Farm Country Club. The community of 2,100-3,600 sq. ft., mostly brick homes was developed in the 1990s, and several of the homes overlook the golf course. Real estate in Rice Planters Pointe was custom built. In addition to its close proximity to the country club and historic attractions, the subdivision is convenient to Interstate 526.
