In Mount Pleasant’s historicly significant Old Village neighborhood, you’ll find a gorgeous mix of Southern homes tucked into a historic landscape. While many were built in the 19th and early 20th centuries, there are also newer homes mixed in. The neighborhood’s architectural guidelines keep the more modern constructions in line with the older ones. Real estate at the back of the Old Village sits right on the Charleston Harbor, and many of these dwellings have boat docks. Homes measure from under 2,000 square feet to more than 5,000 square feet. Although the area is so beautiful that you won’t want to leave very often, it is quite convenient to Sullivan’s Island beaches and downtown Charleston.
